Weekend…

Wow, busy busy.

Friday: went up to London with 3 friends to watch Top of the Pops being filmed. So amazing to see Television Centre in reality, and how small the studio is, and how few crowd there are. Most of top of the pops is recorded, so we were part of the crowd for filmings for future weeks, as well as some of the live show on the day. The Manic Street Preachers, Good Charlotte, Ronan Keating and Groove Armarda were on the bill, and we just had a real laugh.

Saturday: Went to see the film “Wimbledon”. I thought it was rather sweet, and funny – although totally predictable (of course!)

Sunday: My Dad gave the car his seal of approval, which is good. It seems I got a good buy, not a pile of junk – which is good to know!

…Someone at work said my car has “the gayest interior” he had ever seen.

He might have a point.

Just you wait until I find a source of pink fluffy dice!

…heading towards a record number or readers of this wiblog this month. Not bad considering there has been very little posted of any interest. Just goes to show that content isn’t everything.

…I did it, drove to work, and back.

Please take a look at a new weblog developed by a friend of a friend, jump in and leave a comment to the rubbish that we are writing about music (of all types).

You can find the link on the left, left a bit more, up a bit, tiny bit more. There we go – the link is called First Love.

Weekend…

…To the Google searcher who was looking for “party tents to attach to house”, I hope you found what you were looking for.

Had a lovely weekend camping with a friend near Weymouth this weekend, very relaxing and very impressed with the cream teas in Abbotsbury, the sun deciding to show itself on Chesil beach, and the many pubs who fed us along the way. Also thanks to the lady at Bagwell Farm who was so understanding about us camping in the wrong pitch (we arrived in the dark) and didn’t make us move the tent.

Drove the car around the block this evening and came back in a sweat, with stress levels high. Will I ever get used to it?

It’s Started…

…DWP are to close down two of the Employer Direct sites, and also 37 Jobcentres. I bet it is all panic at work, but i don’t know because i woke up with such an unsettled stomach I decided it would be best to have the day off. Looks like our site is safe though, as the plan is to move people away from London and to places where the costs are cheaper… such as Exeter.

With staff leaving at a much faster rate than we are taking them on I can’t see we can cover all the work, but we will see – it’s not really my problem! (hooray for not being in management!!!)

More here and here.

Time for a monthly update on most listened to DAB stations (according to the radio – in no order). 6 Music, BBC Radio 2, Classic, Life (re-entry), Virgin, Passion.

Very confusing as I listen to at least half an hour of Radio 4 each day, but I guess I often fall to sleep with Life or Passion on – so most of the time I am not even listening.
