…WooHoo, I won £2.40 this evening. An improvement on last time.
I am bored with Big Brother already, the irony is that last year I didn’t want to watch it and by day 2 was addicted. This year I wanted to get into it, but can’t!

…What a horrible selection of people with confusing names… Kermal, Mackosi, Sasskia, Science… eek! Not sure there is anyone there I can feel some sort of affinity with. Perhaps Mary as she seems terrified, or Max as he seems to be totally out of his depth.
If I had been Macosi (Makosi? Maccosi? Makossi?) I would have asked for that explaination written down on paper, how are you meant to understand complex twists in the “plot” on the first night while full of nerves? I have a feeling she has not a clue what is going on!
…I forgot to mention Eurovision at all, and now it’s a bit late, and to be honest it’s all a bit of a blurr now… Very much enjoyed the Norway entry though, and also watching it with a Bosnian was interesting as we had random translations of some of the songs!
Also watched a the very enjoyable Grand Prix, and the film The Village, which was very dissapointing and had us reaching for the fast forward button!
1. Didn’t wake up with hangover, in fact felt suprisingly awake
2. Managed to talk nicely with people at work, only getting annoyed once.
3. Frisbee was shaken free from the tree this lunchtime and thrown around in the usual manner. (11 catches in a row, we rock!!!)
4. Computer crashed once, only moaned slightly.
5. John was back at work (see his site called Aubern on my links to the left)
6. Still broke.
7. Car is still taxed.
8. Yoghurt stayed intacted and didn’t even spit at me when opened.
9. Still nothing on TV tonight, but Big Brother starts again soon.
10. No one invited me to join anything by email.
1. I woke up with a hangover, despite only having 2 glasses of wine last night.
2. Got in a stress with someone at work, a situation that spread among several members of the team.
3. My frisbee (yes, we throw it around at lunchtimes!) got stuck in a tree (and is still there).
4. My computer froze up in the middle of doing some incoming calls, thus making my call times look even worse than normal.
5. Two of my friends at work were off today.
6. I went to cash a cheque in at the bank only to find it was dated wrongly, so could not be accepted. This meant I had to plead with the advisor as I know the non-cashing of the cheque will result in going into the red. In the end I got a temporary overdraft. (the smallest and shortest he can remember anyone having!)
7. Had to tax the car, never an edifying experience.
8. Found a yoghurt had exploded in my bag, so have had to wash that this evening.
9. There is nothing on TV tonight
10. Got another 3 bloody emails inviting me to join peoples “Birthday Calendars”. Please stop.
…I often accuse people of being geeky, you know those people who love Star trek/German Rock/Computer programming/Lord of the Rings… but it is on days like this that the inner geek comes out in me…
Due to industrial action at the BBC, the schedule may change and some parts of this site may not be updated. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Ooh I love it, i have no opinion on whether people are right or wrong to be striking over the job cuts, only individual staff at the BBC can make a decision for themselves, but I do enjoy watching those that do go to work try and cope.
The first I noticed was poor Janice Long on Radio 2 struggling to stay in control of her Birmingham studio overnight. sounded it like it was just her up there and one bloke in london doing the news and holding it together. Songs stopping, dead air, and the emergency tape kicking in. She was totally honest about what was happening though, and you could not help but feel on her side.
Woke up and switched on FiveLive (as normal) to catch the news at 6am, which had been replaced by a prerecord of something. 6Music seemed to be running as normal with Chris Hawkins announcing that Paul Anderson was sitting in for Phill Jupitus, and when that time came he suprisingly started with a Billy Bragg track! Paul sounded underprepared and seemed to be avoiding the issue of why he was there and Phill wasn’t, to the point of reading out emails from people speculating where he was… we know where he was – on the picket line!!!
I am now home from work and scouring the media websites for what happened on TV and Radio today… as I said I am a media geek!
I will update you on my happenings this weekend, just as soon as I have found out how thw Asian Network coped today…
Eurovision… Monaco Grand Prix… and some football thingy too!
Just a shame I am stuck at work at the moment really

Olives are great, I thought I didn’t like them, now I can’t get enough!
For a moment today I thought the new Star Wars film was called “Return of the syph”…
…Those Nobbys crisps are talking about are horrible, really boring strong flavours (no variation) and a greasy feel, yuck.
Also horrible is the Covent Garden Food Company’s Carrot and Coriander soup. I am told that the other flavours are lovely, but this one is awful. Such a shame as it looks so nice and fresh.
Somebody told me that you can buy beetroot crisps… I need to know where you can get them from!
